Scott Younger - My Back Yard
This Website consists of photos and film of living creatures taken in My Back Yard in West Sussex. We have a pond, fruit trees, vegetable garden and flower garden. Nightly Foxes and Hedgehogs visit.
We have regular visits from Slow Worms, Seagulls, Starlings, Long Tailed Tits, and many other types of birds. Robins, Blackbirds, Blue Tits, and Sparrows (LBJs) nest. The Pond has Tadpoles, Newts (two varieties), Frogs, and many types of Snails and Fish (mainly Sticklebacks) in abundance as well as many many insects. In breeding season about sixty frogs attend the pond. Several types of Dragonflies hover and breed in the Pond. There are Pond Walkers and the odd Snake. |

I have already taken the Film and Photos for, and am currently working on film of - House Martins (7 Broods), Newts (2 Types), Pond Fish, Pond Snails, Robins, Woodpeckers, LBJs, Long Tailed Tits, Starlings, Blackbirds and other Birds on my Feeders.
Foxes and Hedgehogs are nightly recorded. 50 or so Frogs will be back in early February, probably spawning in March. The Dragonflies hover and breed in August / September.
These films are largely made from Night Cameras which come on automatically from heat or movement and last for 5sec, 15sec, 30sec or 1 min each. A 5 min film may therefore have 30 odd clips. This does not allow very reliable transitioning sometimes between clips re small WMV files.
